Hogan
Hi, my name is Hogan. My person surrendered me to IACS. I was a bit of mess because I had horrible teeth, and my left rear leg had been broken for a long time! I don't know why my former person didn't get me help when I needed it. Anyway, the Chihuahua Rescue folks came to get me right away. I now live with my foster mom, 6 other dogs and a cat; I get on fine with all of them. It's a cool place, but I'd really love to have a fur-ever home with my own person.
Chihuahua Rescue says: we got Hogan's teeth fixed right away. He was very quiet and subdued before that, but so HAPPY the day after the surgery. He only has 11 teeth left, but he can eat dry kibble and Greenies just fine now. Hogan voluntarily spends most of his day quietly in his crate. He's reliably potty trained to the outside. He isn't very active, but can run and do just about anything now that his broken leg has been fixed. He doesn't use the leg, but we no longer have to worry about the broken bone poking through the skin. He's a sweet boy who likes cuddles and car rides. He's quiet most of the time, but announces strange dogs and people when he sees them.
Hogan weighs 8 lbs, and is estimated to be about 8 years old. His adoption fee is $250 (Seniors for Seniors is $200).

Chihuahua Rescue Indiana fosters dogs throughout the entire state. To see an immediate list of the dogs available please visit our Rescue Page on Adopt-A-Pet. to see more of our dogs. Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. is a non profit, all volunteer rescue working with Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. The pets are housed in individual volunteer foster homes, not kennels or shelters until they are adopted permanently. We get to know our animals and therefore can tell the potential adopter what the traits of the animal are and what home would be the best for the pet. We are dedicated to the adoption, education, rescue and transportation of the Chihuahua breed. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. FINISH
