Joey
Hi, my name is Joey! I am a 13 year old, 6 pound Long-haired Chihuahua. Even though I am 13, I don't always act like it. I love to play with other dogs! I haven't found a dog I am afraid of. I kind of get bothered by young kids getting in my face and not giving me space, so I would prefer to have older kids around me. I had some stinky breath, so my foster friends took me to the vet and I had to get almost all of my teeth removed! I do still have 6 of my lower back teeth, but I need to eat a soft/mixed with dry food diet. I feel MUCH better now! I am so excited and ready to find my forever home!
From the Rescue- Joey was surrendered by his owner due to his life becoming too busy to take proper care of him. He is used to being in a crate, but is currently allowed to roam freely. He was recently neutered and microchipped. He is UTD on shots, but will need them updated in April. Joey did have dental extractions, so has been given a soft/mixed with dry food diet. He is very playful and loving, and would prefer to be in a home with other dogs! His adoption fee is $250 (Seniors for Seniors $150).

The pets are housed in individual volunteer foster homes, not kennels or shelters until they are adopted permanently. We get to know our animals and therefore can tell the potential adopter what the traits of the animal are and what home would be the best for the pet. We are dedicated to the adoption, education, rescue and transportation of the Chihuahua breed. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.
