Kona
Kona is an adorable surrender that was pampered and well loved by the only family she ever knew. She came to us with Tres Bella. Unfortunately their lifestyle changed and they were unable to provide the care and attention she needs. She weighs in at only 6.5 lbs and is 3 1/2 years old. She is very well housebroken and healthy. Kona is a talker and often misunderstood. She snarls and growls even when happy or excited. She does not bite though and if her initial attitude doesn't put someone off warms up quickly to people. She is extremely smart, she is learning to "talk" instead of growl and is gaining confidence fast. She is listed as special needs only because her adopter needs to understand how to be a strong leader to help her feel secure. Under these circumstances she is very good with children (she really likes them) and other pets. Chihuahua Rescue of Indiana adoption fee $250.

Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. is a non profit, all volunteer rescue working with Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. The pets are housed in individual volunteer foster homes, not kennels or shelters until they are adopted permanently. We get to know our animals and therefore can tell the potential adopter what the traits of the animal are and what home would be the best for the pet. We are dedicated to the adoption, education, rescue and transportation of the Chihuahua breed. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. FINISH
