Miro

Hi! I'm Miro! I am an adult male chihuahua - about 5-7 years old, and approximately 5 pounds. I LOVE walks and enjoy car rides! I get along with other dogs and I'm very interested in cats. They're almost my size! Mostly I want to be your shadow and lap dog! I love belly rubs & like to sleep in the bed, but I am crate trained and perfectly fine sleeping in my own bed. I am potty trained. However due to the medicine I'm on for Congestive Heart Failure I do have to go potty a lot, so regular bathroom breaks are a must! I am totally vetted and neutered, and with medication I can live a long happy life despite my CHF. I adore women, but my foster is a man so I've gotten accustomed to all kinds of people. I like people who are calm and confident with a "this is happening" attitude. That way I can just leave all the decision making to my person. Anything that moves quickly will startle me at first, so while I don't particularly LOVE kids, my foster thinks I would do just fine with kids a little older. I am very curious and friendly, but like most Chihuahuas, I'm slightly skittish. However, I do like a person who takes charge with me. It makes me comfortable.
Miro's adoption fee is  $250.

Chihuahua Rescue Indiana fosters dogs throughout the entire state. To see an immediate list of the dogs available please visit our Rescue Page on Adopt-A-Pet. to see more of our dogs. Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. is a non profit, all volunteer rescue working with Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. The pets are housed in individual volunteer foster homes, not kennels or shelters until they are adopted permanently. We get to know our animals and therefore can tell the potential adopter what the traits of the animal are and what home would be the best for the pet. We are dedicated to the adoption, education, rescue and transportation of the Chihuahua breed. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. FINISH
