Momo

Here is Momo. She came in around the end of August 2016 from flooding in Tennessee. She was in horrible shape. Could barely walk and was severely depressed. She is 15 plus years old and weighs approximately 7-8 lbs. She has a huge benign tumor, however cannot have surgery due to her heart murmur. She is totally deaf and has very limited sight. She's been on thyroid medicine for several months now and her tumor has shrunk to about a third of its size. She feels much better now and is a happy little dog. She gets around well and loves her crate and doggie beds with fluffy blankets in them. She is trained to potty outside and uses puppy pads but sometimes misses the pads because of her eye sight. She is a sweet little senior and aside from her daily medicine is pretty low maintenance.
Momo is up-to-date with her vaccines, however, she is not spayed as she cannot have surgery. She will have to go to a home with no unaltered males. She is good with dogs but not children, and cats are unknown. Her adoption fee is $250 (Seniors for Seniors is $150).

Chihuahua Rescue Indiana fosters dogs throughout the entire state. To see an immediate list of the dogs available please visit our Rescue Page on Adopt-A-Pet. to see more of our dogs. Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. is a non profit, all volunteer rescue working with Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. The pets are housed in individual volunteer foster homes, not kennels or shelters until they are adopted permanently. We get to know our animals and therefore can tell the potential adopter what the traits of the animal are and what home would be the best for the pet. We are dedicated to the adoption, education, rescue and transportation of the Chihuahua breed. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. FINISH
