Tinkerbell

Hi!  My name is Tinkerbell and I am a great dog!  I love to be next to my human.  I like being petted, of course, but I am content just to sit or lie next to you whatever you are doing.  I also love to play fetch.  I put my own twist on it, and can be pretty funny about it according to my foster mom.  Like most rescue dogs, I have a past where folks weren’t so nice to me.  I warm up to women pretty quickly, but I don't like men so much at first; Chihuahua Rescue thinks a man was mean to me in the past.  I will warm up eventually, but you will have to go slow and earn my trust.  When I don't feel good or I am nervous and scared, I can be a little grumpy and nippy.  Are you the right person to be my special human?

Chihuahua Rescue says: Tinkerbell weighs 8.4 lbs now and is ~7 years old.  She is crate trained;  totally house-trained, both to outside and to puppy pads; loves car rides, and walks on a leash.  She'd do really well in a calm home with maybe one or two other dogs.  She gets on well with other small dogs and cats, but is not a fan of a dog who's in her face.  Older kids or teens would be fine, but she'd probably not enjoy kids under 8 years old. Tinkerbell was ~1-1.5 lbs over weight when she came to us, but a measured amount of good food and lots of exercise helped her regain her slimmer figure!  Her adoption fee is $250.
